WiFi 7 and coverage
NETGEAR lists up to 3.6 Gbps across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, 1.2x faster than WiFi 6, with MU-MIMO and OFDMA for simultaneous devices. Coverage is up to 2,000 sq ft for up to 50 devices; NETGEAR suggests an Orbi mesh system for larger or multi-story homes. Note: it's dual-band, so it doesn't use the 6 GHz band.
Wired ports and app
A 2.5 Gig WAN port unlocks multi-gig internet plans, and four 1 Gig Ethernet ports connect PCs, consoles, TVs and storage. The free Nighthawk app handles setup, speed tests, pausing devices and guest networks. It works with most cable, fiber, DSL and satellite providers through your existing modem or gateway.
